DISHONEST AND FRAUDULENT STAMP COLLECTORS OR STAMP DEALERS
I have been a stamp collector for almost 30 years. My experience with other collectors or stamps dealers is mainly positive. However, especially in recent years I noticed that there are quite a few collectors who would not pay after receiving stamps from me.
Since there is not much one can do about, I have decided to list them here and use this as a means to warn other collectors.
CASE 1: STAN SHIH-JUNG LEE
I got in
contact with Mr. Lee through Ebay back in 2004. He is originally from
His Ebay user ID is: bibi9152002
Current e-mail address: firstname.lastname@example.org
P. O. Box 14064
Fremont, CA 94539
As of April 22nd 2006, he has a very positive feedback of 98% (5 negative comments) on Ebay. Surprisingly, he quite often withdraws bids.
I have supplied him with stamps a couple of times. He wrote what kind of stamps he wanted, I sent them to him and he eventually paid (e.g. by cheque). In December 2005, he must have somehow realized that I would no longer be useful to him. That is why he would not reply my e-mails (directly or through Ebay) and would not pay for the last shipment of stamps, which fortunately is only $US 10.
BE AWARE OF STAN SHIH-JUNG LEE!
CASE 2: ANDREAS FISCHER
Again, I got into contact with Mr. Fischer through Ebay. He is from
His Ebay user ID is: toyplayer1969
Current e-mail address: BASF-FISCHER@onlinehome.de
Emster Str. 57
As of of April 22nd 2006, his feedback on Ebay is not too good (95% positive feedback, 35 negative comments). Obviously, he did not send items paid for a couple of times. And it seems that it is often impossible to contact him through E-mail or telephone.
Since I knew him for many years (I used to buy a few items from his company back in 1993), I asked him for an exchange of stamps. He seemed to be interested. So, I twice sent him stamps worth $US 190 and $10 for exchange. After I sent the items by R-mail, he would not reply my e-mails or phone calls anymore. Fortunately, he refused to take the $US 190 registered parcel and it went back to me. After all, I only lost the $US 10 shipment and the postage for two items.
BE AWARE OF ANDREAS FISCHER!
